Hit The Bricks 5K Trail Fun Run/Walk – Saturday, October 4
The annual Hit The Bricks 5K Trail Fun Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Capik Nature Preserve in Parlin, NJ. Race-day registration opens at 8:00 AM, with the race starting promptly at 9:30 AM. Participants can choose to run or walk the 5K course, which winds through the preserve’s scenic trails. This event is rain or shine and is open to all ages. Proceeds from the race will benefit brain-injured children in Sayreville. Festival of Lights – Sunday, October 12
On Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Kennedy Park in Sayreville will host the Festival of Lights, a celebration of Diwali and International Day. The event will feature a large food court offering global cuisines, live music and dance performances, craft vendors, a kids’ activity zone, and a lantern ceremony. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and enjoy the festivities in a family-friendly environment.
