Despite temperatures reaching 92 degrees Tuesday evening, approximately 1,000 residents gathered at Kennedy Park for Sayreville’s Disco Night, hosted by the Sayreville Cultural Arts Commission.

The event featured a live performance by DISCOTEKS, with the dance floor remaining full throughout the two-hour concert as residents enjoyed an evening of music, dancing and family-friendly entertainment.

In addition to the live music, attendees enjoyed food trucks, giveaways and activities including bubbles, beach balls, sparkle balls, band keychains and cell phone giveaways.

Following the event, Sayreville Cultural Arts Commission Chair Sharon Pawelczyk Rodas thanked the many volunteers, borough employees and officials who helped make the evening possible.

“A heartfelt thank you to our incredible Cultural Arts volunteers who pour their heart and soul into every event,” Pawelczyk Rodas said. “Your dedication is what makes these nights so special.”

Pawelczyk Rodas also recognized the Sayreville Parks Department, Recreation Department, Rich Emerson, Mike Moe for audio support, and the Sayreville Borough Council for its continued support of the commission’s programming.

“Because of that support, we’re able to continue bringing high-quality, family-friendly events to our community,” Pawelczyk Rodas said.

The Cultural Arts Commission will continue its summer event schedule with additional concerts and family-friendly events throughout the season.
