SAYREVILLE, NJ — Morgan Hose & Chemical Company is inviting the community to celebrate a major milestone next weekend as the volunteer fire company marks its 100th anniversary with a free afternoon of food, music and family-friendly activities.
The celebration will take place Saturday, Aug. 1, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Burke’s Park on Washington Road.
According to Morgan Hose & Chemical Company, the event is open to current and former members, Morgan residents and anyone looking to celebrate the department’s century of service to the community.
Parade, Live Music And Family Fun
The celebration will begin with a parade through the Morgan section of Sayreville and will also feature live performances by Buckshot Band and Runaway Train.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs to enjoy the live entertainment throughout the afternoon.
Other activities and attractions include:
- Fire trucks and community activities
- Free food provided by P&L Family Catering
- Fresh-squeezed lemonade and limeade available from Cursed Citrus Lemonade
- 100th Anniversary merchandise, with proceeds benefiting Morgan Hose & Chemical Company
- Adult beverages available with the purchase of a souvenir cup for guests 21 and older with valid identification
Free Event Open To The Community
Admission is free, although donations will be accepted to help support Morgan Hose & Chemical Company as it continues serving the Morgan community.
“Whether you’re a current or former member, a Morgan resident, or just looking for a great day with family and friends, we’d love to celebrate this historic milestone with you,” the department said in a Facebook post.
