Sayreville Storm 2017 Sweep Parsippany Tournament With Four Wins
SAYREVILLE, NJ — The Sayreville Storm 2017 team dominated the Parsippany Tournament on October 11 and 13, finishing the weekend with an undefeated record. The team defeated Scotch Plains 3-2, Torpedoes SC 2-0, Silver Lakes Sparks 4-1, and Livingston 2-0.
Evelyn Parlagreco led the Storm in scoring, netting six goals over the two-day tournament. Valentina Cabral added three goals, while Lacey Humphrey and Emma Abu each contributed one.

Team play was a highlight, with Quorra Weber, Khloe Lozano, and Chelse Craig each recording assists. Margaux Venittelli, Zaylee Buhler, and Nora Fazzini anchored the defense with strong performances throughout the weekend.
Goalkeeper Quorra Weber and Valentina Cabral were key in keeping opponents off the scoreboard, making several critical saves. Kayla Puhan also created multiple scoring opportunities with strong attempts on goal.
The team’s passing and coordination drew praise for consistency and accuracy. Players frequently connected in tight spaces, helping the Storm maintain control across all four matches.

Coach Calleigh Fazzini emphasized the team’s collective effort. “The Storm showed true teamwork and great effort to win all four games this weekend,” Fazzini said.
The Storm’s performance underscored their status as a formidable force in youth soccer, blending offensive firepower with solid defense.
With the tournament behind them, Sayreville Storm 2017 looks ahead to their next set of matches, aiming to build on the momentum from a perfect weekend.
