Sayreville Police Safely Recover Lost Dog Near South River Bridge
SAYREVILLE, NJ — Sayreville police officers safely recovered a friendly dog near Washington Road by the South River Bridge on Tuesday. The dog, described as affectionate and curious, is now safe and being cared for while authorities work to locate its owner.
The department has nicknamed him “River”, inspired by his adventurous spirit and the location where he was found. “He’s got the heart of a little explorer,” the Sayreville Police Department shared in a social media post.

Officials are asking anyone who recognizes River or knows who he belongs to contact the Sayreville Police Department at 732-727-4444.
The department emphasized that River is unharmed and receiving plenty of attention as they continue efforts to reunite him with his family.
