Sayreville VFW to Celebrate 80 Years of Service With Black-Tie Anniversary Gala

Sayreville VFW Post 4699 will mark a major milestone next year with a community-wide celebration honoring 80 years of service, support, and camaraderie. The post is hosting an 80th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., at its headquarters located at 575 Jernee Mill Road in Sayreville.

The evening will feature a full cocktail hour with hand-passed hors d’oeuvres and a cold-food spread, followed by a seated dual-plate dinner and dessert catered by Palms Plaza. Guests will also enjoy an open bar, live entertainment from the popular local band Clem and Friends, and a performance of the national anthem, with the Honor Guard presenting the colors.

The event is designed not only to celebrate the post’s long history but to bring the community together. Organizers emphasized that the gala is open to everyone, not only veterans.

“Members of all local VFWs, American Legions, and all veterans and their families are encouraged to attend,” the post shared, “but we also welcome anyone from our community who would like to enjoy the night with us.”
